Product Overview

This 8-channel 12G-SDI fiber optic converter kit adopts 1U rackmount design, supporting 8-ch 12G-SDI, 6G-SDI, 3G-SDI, HD-SDI and SD-SDI signal transmission over single optical fiber. The transmitter converts 8 paths of 4K SDI video signals into optical signals, then transmits to the remote receiver via fiber cable. The receiver restores the original 8-channel SDI signals with ultra-low latency and lossless image quality.

It is a professional long-distance video extension solution widely used for broadcast television, live production, OB vans, stadiums and 4K AV integration projects.

Product Description

The 8CH 12G-SDI fiber extender is a rack-mount optical transmission set built for 4K professional video. It supports up to 8 independent 12G-SDI signals simultaneously, carrying 4K@60Hz video over fiber to break the transmission distance limit of traditional BNC coaxial cables.

The transmitter unit receives 8 × 12G-SDI BNC inputs from cameras, video switchers or media servers, converts electrical video signals into optical signals through hot-swappable SFP module. The paired receiver converts optical signals back to electrical SDI signals and outputs 8-channel 12G-SDI for monitors, video walls, recorders and matrix switchers.

The standard 19-inch 1U metal chassis is easy to install in equipment racks. Front-panel LED indicators show power status, signal lock and fiber link status for quick troubleshooting. The SFP fiber slot allows flexible transmission distance selection, supporting up to 20km . No compression, ultra-low latency, ideal for real-time 4K live broadcast.
